Milne, Winnie-the-Pooh Tigger &Pooh were deserted by their owner during a move along with another cat that has since gone missing and a dog which has been adopted. We found them on a 3 lane highway in a shore town escaping the heat of the summer under a parked car. They had no water. They were raiding garbage and being given food scraps by a good hearted guy who could not do much more for them. They were rescued, neutered, tested for HIV/FELV and are being fostered in a basement of a nearby house. They are safe, but they need a long term home. Tigger is a petite silver grey tabby. He is a little shy. He also just had hernia surgery and has a shaved belly. He is very affectionate once he is comfortable with a person. Pooh is a large size mackeral tabby. He is very handome and outgoing. He has a very animated face and a gregarious personality. These cats could be together or apart but both need an understanding owner who is familiar with cats. They are both very friendly but because they spent most of their lives on the street, they don't like to be held for long periods of time and would rather just be pet while standing free or sitting on your lap. There is a potential for them to be indoor/outdoor cats in a safe neighborhood. Tigger & Pooh are especially good for a person who is not interested in rearing kittens. They are already pretty calm.
